LANCASTER - A dispute over dogs led to a shooting and an arrest of a Lancaster man, sheriff's officials said.

Donovan Taylor, 27, of Lancaster was arrested just before 11 a.m. Wednesday at his home in the 45000 block of Harlas Avenue. Deputies said he had fired two shots at Robert Brewer Robert Brewer (born 1939) was an American figure skater. He won the bronze medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice and competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics.

After retiring from skating, Brewer became a pilot and a doctor.

Breakfast planned for theater workers

PALMDALE - A breakfast meeting for Palmdale Playhouse volunteers will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the playhouse, 38334 10th St. E.

The volunteer program is open to anyone age 18 or older.

Volunteers meet on the second Saturday of each month to discuss ways to serve theater patrons.
