Steve Young practiced for a second straight day Saturday and seems to be making rapid progress in his rehabilitation of a groin injury.

    Meantime, the 49ers activated fullback William Floyd from the physically-unable-to-perform list and there remains a possibility he could play against the Packers. It would be his first game since tearing three ligaments in a complete dislocation of his right knee when he collided with a teammate last Oct. 29 against New Orleans.

    Boris Becker came from behind to beat American Todd Martin 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals of the CA Trophy tournament in Vienna, Austria.

    Becker's opponent for the title today will be unseeded Jan Siemerink of the Netherlands.

    Sixteen-year-old Martina Hingis of Switzerland moved into the finals of the Porsche Grand Prix in Filderstadt, Germany, by defeating Olympic champion Lindsay Davenport 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.

    In today's final, Hingis will face Germany's Anke Huber.
