BRIEFLY : HOUSE FIRE CAUSES $35,000 IN DAMAGE.


SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - A fire broke out in the garage of a single-family home in the 2000 block of Atwater Avenue early Wednesday, the Ventura County Fire Department Not to be confused with Ventura Fire Department.

The Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) provides fire protection and emergency response services for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, and for six other cities within the county.
 reported.

No one was injured in the 1:44 a.m. blaze, which caused an estimated loss of $35,000, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

SIMI VALLEY - Kaiser Permanente has opened a new medical office that is more than double the size of the leased space that doctors have been using for the past decade.

Officials said the office at 3900 Alamo Alamo

Eighteenth-century mission in San Antonio, Texas, site of a historic siege of a small group of Texans by a Mexican army (1836) during the Texas war for independence from Mexico.
 St. has room enough for six doctors, two nurse practitioners and 30 staff members and will allow the medical center to eventually double its staff over the years.

The 24,000-square-foot facility offers family medicine, radiology, obstetric/gynecology, laboratory and pharmacy services.
