BRIEFLY : GOLF COURSE BUILDER LIKELY TO FILE CLAIM.


The developer of a golf course for the Sunland-Tujunga area halted by the Los Angeles City Council The Los Angeles City Council is the governing body of the City of Los Angeles, California, United States.  plans to announce today the filing of a multimillion-dollar claim against the city.

David Heuber, joined by residents of the area who had supported his proposed Red Tail Golf Club, and his attorney have planned a rally at City Hall before filing the claim against the city. The claim is the first step leading to the filing of a lawsuit.

Pedestrian killed in West Hills named

WOODLAND HILLS - A man fatally injured by a vehicle along Fallbrook Avenue in West Hills was identified as Joe Gazzera, 69, of Woodland Hills, a coroner's investigator said Wednesday.

Woman, 85, fatally injured in wreck

NEWHALL - An 85-year-old woman on her way home from a bingo game with two friends was killed Wednesday after the driver rear-ended a pickup truck, veered off Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Brenda Clark, 19, and her passenger, Bryna Frost, 18, both of Newhall, complained of pain but were not taken to the hospital, Slater said.

Officials are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
