Man, 20, charged in illegal laser use

In the second case of its kind in three weeks, a criminal complaint was filed Tuesday against a man accused of shining a laser scope in a security guard's eyes.

It refers to lasting harm done to the body, human or otherwise, although in its legal sense it is exclusively defined as lasting

``The fact (that) we suddenly have two cases in less than three weeks raises the concern that the improper and illegal use of laser scopes is starting to become a problem now that prices have dropped and some sellers are marketing them as toys,'' Hahn said.
