 to Dennis Gillette on Tuesday night, outgoing Thousand Oaks Mayor Linda Parks was greeted with arm loads of flowers, plaques and kind words for her service to the city.

``I felt like I was hearing my eulogy,'' Parks said. ``There were so many kind words. It felt like a homecoming to see so many people from so many causes coming together.''

Probation search nets drug suspects

MOORPARK - An adult and juvenile were arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession during a morning probation search at the homes of 18 residents on probation in Moorpark, authorities said.

A 17-year-old in the 600 block of Shasta Avenue, who was not named because he is a minor, was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession.

The multiagency probation search involved the Moorpark Police Department, Ventura County Probation Agency and Simi Valley Police Department The Simi Valley Police Department (SVPD) is the police department of the city of Simi Valley, California. The department currently has over 120 sworn officers, and more than 65 support personnel[1]. The department has a patrol area that covers over 39 square miles. .
