BRIEFLY : FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE 2-STORY BUILDING BLAZE.


Flames engulfed a two-story building just south of downtown Thursday, drawing more than 100 firefighters, one of whom was slightly injured, officials said.

The blaze broke out about 9 p.m. at Main Street and Pico Boulevard Pico Boulevard is a major Los Angeles street that runs from Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica to Central Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles. Detectives recover restaurant supplies

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) is a local law enforcement agency that serves Los Angeles County, California.
 detectives raided a warehouse Thursday and recovered $1.5 million in restaurant supplies and food items allegedly stolen by a fraud ring, officials said.

No arrests were made at the warehouse in the 2300 block of East Artesia Boulevard, said Deputy Michael Irving.
