A stumble caused a rumble in the Churchill Downs stable area Monday at Louisville, Ky. But Favorite Trick, the Horse of the Year, is still in the Kentucky Derby.

Favorite Trick was galloping out after a workout when he stumbled and almost fell, but the colt gathered himself quickly.

``He must have hit a little divot in the track,'' said trainer Bill Mott, who did not see what happened on the clubhouse turn at Churchill Downs.

FOOTBALL: Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Tony Boselli, a former star at USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. , had surgery to remove bone chips from his right ankle. Dr. Stephen Lucie, the team physician who participated in the surgery, said Boselli should complete his rehabilitation before the start of training camp on July 24.

The New York Court of Appeals refused to review the sexual-assault case of Atlanta Falcons linebacker Cornelius Bennett, clearing the way for a 60-day jail term.

Bennett, a former member of the Buffalo Bills, had received the sentence after pleading guilty to misdemeanor sex abuse in the wake of a violent encounter in a Buffalo hotel room that sent a woman to the hospital.

BASKETBALL: Antawn Jamison is convinced he's ready for the pros and he'll be heading to the NBA with degree in hand (after summer school). The national Player of the Year said he'll forgo his senior year at North Carolina to enter the NBA draft on June 24.
