BRIEFLY : ELDREDGE HURT IN FALL, THEN SKATES TO TITLE.


Todd Eldredge Todd James Eldredge (born August 28, 1971 in Chatham, Massachusetts) is an American figure skater. Skate America is an international, senior-level invitation-only figure skating competition organized by the USFSA. It is the first ISU Grand Prix event to be held, usually in mid to late October. The location changes yearly.

Michelle Kwan easily won her first matchup with Tara Lipinski, sweeping the judges' panel with a flawless free skate. Lipinski fell on a triple lutz, and her program didn't have the overall artistry to match Kwan, who got all 5.8s for technical merit and 5.9s for artistic impression.
