BRIEFLY : DESERT SITE TO STAGE OFF-HIGHWAY EVENTS.MOJAVE - Two days of off-highway activity and a chance to win prizes will be on tap this weekend during the annual Moose Moose, river, Canada Moose, river, c.50 mi (80 km) long, formed in central Ont., Canada, by the Mattagami and Missinaibi rivers. The festivities are named for the late Mark ``Moose'' Anderson, a member of the California Off-Highway Vehicle Commission who was a pioneer in promoting responsible off-highway recreation. Sign-ups for volunteers participating in the cleanup will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday at the visitor center, which is on Highway 14 about 18 miles north of Mojave. Participants will receive a free T-shirt and sack lunch and can ride free in the Sunday tours.
