BRIEFLY : CSUN ADMINISTRATOR TO TAKE WICHITA JOB.


Ron Kopita, California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an , vice president for student affairs Student affairs staff are responsible for academic advising and support services delivery at colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. The chief student affairs officer at a college or university often reports directly to the chief executive of the institution.  since 1992, announced Thursday that he will be leaving to become vice president for student affairs at Wichita State University Wichita State University (WSU) is an American state-supported university located in the city of Wichita, Kansas. WSU is one of six state universities governed by the Kansas Board of Regents. The current President is Dr. Donald Beggs.  in Kansas effective Aug. 1.

Kopita said in February that he planned to leave his job at CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  and still plans to do so after commencement ceremonies June 5. CSUN will name an interim vice president to lead the Student Affairs Division shortly.

Kopita oversaw major changes in the division, including the creation of the Presidential Scholarship Program for high-achieving students, the launch of Student Outreach and Recruitment Services, and planning for a Student Services building due to open in the fall.
