BRIEFLY : CRASH KILLS DRIVER WHO RAN RED LIGHT.

NORTHRIDGE - One man was killed and two others were injured Saturday after the driver of a 1969 Mustang sped through a red light and hit two other cars, police said.

The crash happened about 5:45 p.m., when the Mustang ran a red light at Nordhoff Street and Petit Avenue, hitting a 1983 Jeep, police said.

The collision propelled the Jeep into a third car, said Sgt. Ron Ryan of the Valley Traffic Division.

Police arrived on the scene to find the driver of the Mustang dead, apparently from the impact. Paramedics took the other drivers to local hospitals, where they were treated for minor injuries.

Police did not release the name of the dead man, pending notification of his relatives.
