VAN NUYS - The actress who played Fonzie's girlfriend on ``Happy Days'' pleaded no contest Thursday to firing a shotgun at her neighbor's home in North Hollywood after she was repeatedly awakened by a car alarm.

Roz Kelly Roz Kelly (born July 29 1943 in Mount Vernon, New York) is best known for playing Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli's (Henry Winkler) girlfriend Carol "Pinky" Tuscadero on the hit television series Happy Days. , 56, will be sent to the state Department of Corrections for a 90-day diagnosis to determine if she should be sent to prison or placed on probation.

She is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 20.

Kelly fired a 12-gauge shotgun into the house in the 5600 block of Lemp Avenue on Nov. 29, after a nearby car alarm went off. No one was injured.

A commodities trader and one of his sales representatives were indicted Thursday on federal charges of bilking investors out of more than $4 million.

Edward W. Schroeder, 64, and Carl Hermans, 51, of Van Nuys, allegedly solicited clients to put money in a program that supposedly invested in treasury bond futures, according to the indictment.

Schroeder allegedly told investors his program guaranteed profits.

Schroeder was indicted on 26 counts of mail fraud, contempt of court and money laundering The process of taking the proceeds of criminal activity and making them appear legal.

Laundering allows criminals to transform illegally obtained gain into seemingly legitimate funds.

Hermans was indicted on five mail fraud counts and six money laundering counts.

If convicted on all the charges, Schroeder would face up to 310 years in federal prison, and Hermans would face up to 145 years, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Weingart.
