BRIEFLY : COUNCILMAN REVIVES CONSOLIDATION PLAN.

He represents the 26th district which includes the communities of Vermont Knolls, Jefferson Park, Leimert Park, Hancock Park, Korean , in a proposal sent to Mayor Richard Riordan and the City Council, said the city should consider creating a new agency that would include the Community Development Department, Community Redevelopment Agency and city housing agencies.

``We have a window of opportunity to restructure our city resources in a way that will greatly improve our ability to cause meaningful economic development with the potential to deliver dynamic and creative leadership,'' Ridley-Thomas said.

City's reform panel sets Valley hearing
