BRIEFLY : CAN-THROWING LEADS TO ARREST ON ASSAULT.

Assault is threatening to use force.  for throwing cans of food at a neighbor's house in the 200 block of Willowbrook Avenue, police said Monday.

Finus Erolin Brown was arrested Saturday following a two-month investigation after police identified Brown through fingerprints found on a can that hit the victim's residence last month, police said in a statement.

He was jailed in lieu of $20,000. His arraignment A criminal proceeding at which the defendant is officially called before a court of competent jurisdiction, informed of the offense charged in the complaint, information, indictment, or other charging document, and asked to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or as otherwise permitted  was set for today.

Investigators believe the cans were launched from a nearby home belonging to a relative of Brown, and think the incident was sparked by a neighbor's dispute with the victim.

Rosamond suspect arrested in hold-up

Deputies said a man walked into the Kwik Kuts Hair Salon in the 1400 block of Rosamond Boulevard about 5:15 p.m. and handed an employee a note demanding money. He escaped with a small amount of cash, deputies said.

Sheppard was arrested several hours later after an investigation, deputies said.

Police seek robber of wholesale store

LANCASTER - Sheriff's deputies were investigating a robbery Monday afternoon of a wholesale store.

A man with a handgun robbed a clerk of an unknown amount of cash about 12:10 a.m. at the Smart and Final store.
