BRIEFLY : BURBANK ORGANIZATION SEEKS DONATIONS OF MOUNTAIN BIKES.


BURBANK - The Burbank Boys & Girls Club Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. Kelley, who was also it's producer and executive producer. Only two out of a total of thirteen episodes created were broadcast on Fox Television in the United States and Global Television in Canada.  is appealing for donated mountain bicycles and parts that are needed for a new wilderness club - the Venturing Crew.

The club will offer teens the chance to take part in outdoor activities such as mountain biking mountain biking Sports medicine A sport in which participants use specialized bicycles to navigate rough, steep trails covered with unforgiving rocks Injury risk Concussions, fractures, death. The Venturing Crew is a joint effort of the Boys & Girls Club and the Boy Scouts of America Noun 1. Boy Scouts of America - a corporation that operates through a national council that charters local councils all over the United States; the purpose is character building and citizenship training  to provide outdoor recreation activities for teens ages 14 to 20. The Burbank Boys & Girls Club has more than 700 registered members and is open to all children regardless of their ability to pay membership fees.

La Canada nuns celebrate milestones of religious work

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE - Three Dominican nuns at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Sacred Heart Academy may refer to:

  • Sacred Heart Academy — Hamden, Connecticut
  • Sacred Heart Academy — Stamford, Connecticut
 who have jointly served 180 years in the order recently celebrated their jubilees.

Sister Marie Lehner, who still substitutes as an administrative receptionist on occasion, celebrated 70 years as a Dominican sister.

Sister Jean Marie Des Jardins, a 1937 graduate of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, celebrated 60 years in the order. A French teacher for many years, she also served as novice director for the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose for 15 years and is now in charge of the school archives.

Sister Benilda Desmond celebrated 50 years as a Dominican sister. She served as vocation director for 13 years and now works with the parish of St. Dominic in Eagle Rock.

Veteran Glendale art studio moves to new headquarters

GLENDALE - Glendale's fine art studio for children and adults has a new home in a renovated Mediterranean style building at 800 W. Doran St.

Mission Renaissance was founded in 1975 by artist Larry Gluck when he learned that art principles were no longer taught in many schools. The new office will house the management team and a fine art academy for staff training.
