BRIEFLY : BODY FOUND MONDAY WAS L.A. RESIDENT'S.


LANCASTER - A 34-year-old man found dead in a sparsely populated area 20 miles west of Lancaster was identified as a Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  resident, officials said.

The body of Rhondell Felix Ramos of Los Angeles was found Monday afternoon off 210th Street West, one-quarter mile south of Highway 138 near Neenach.

The cause of death was not evident, officials said, and they were still trying to determine how long his body had been there.

 will benefit from its second annual Casino Night fund-raiser May 1 at the Lancaster Knights of Columbus Knights of Columbus, American Roman Catholic society for men, founded (1882) at New Haven, Conn. (where its headquarters are still located), by Father Michael J. McGivney.  Hall, 719 W. Ave. M.

Prizes at the event, which will run from 6 to 11 p.m., include three Mexican cruises and three Las Vegas weekends.

Admission pays for hors d'oeuvres and $2,000 in pretend money for gambling at blackjack blackjack, one of the world's most widely played gambling card games; also known as twenty-one or vingt-et-un.
