BRIEFLY : AGASSI WITHDRAWS WITH THIGH INJURY.Byline: - Daily News Wire Services Andre Agassi has an injured thigh that forced him to withdraw Tuesday from a Wimbledon tuneup in Halle, Germany, two days after winning the French Open. Agassi plans to return to the United States for treatment and intends to play Wimbledon, which starts June 28. He consulted the tournament doctor at the Gerry Weber Open before dropping out because of a pulled muscle in his right thigh. ``It's a great disappointment for me,'' Agassi said. ``I thought two days of rest would be enough.'' The father of Jelena Dokic, a promising 16-year-old Australian, was ejected during her tennis match at a tournament in Birmingham, England, and later picked up by the police after lying in the middle of a road. According to the police, the father, Damir Dokic, was cautioned for drunken and disorderly behavior and was released without being charged. At the DFS Classic, Dokic began shouting at spectators and officials during his daughter's first-round match against Rita Grande of Italy. The match was suspended in the third set because of wet grass. FOOTBALL: Quarterback Dan Marino will likely sign a two-year contract extension with the Miami Dolphins before the week is out, agent Marvin Demoff said. The deal is likely to include a signing bonus of about $6.4 million and is meant to create salary-cap space for the team. Free-agent cornerback Mark McMillian was signed to a three-year contract by the San Francisco 49ers, adding depth and experience to a secondary stung by big plays last season. McMillian had 11 interceptions over the last two seasons in Kansas City. ABC released a college football schedule that includes the Pigskin and Kickoff classics in August and the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4, 2000, that will probably determine the national champion. Arizona will begin the season at Penn State in the Pigskin Classic on Aug. 28. The following day, ABC will televise Miami-Ohio State in the Kickoff Classic at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Games ABC will televise nationally include: Notre Dame at Michigan on Sept. 4, Ohio State at Penn State on Oct. 16, Michigan at Penn State on Nov. 13, Ohio State at Michigan on Nov. 20, Texas at Texas A&M and Nebraska at Colorado on Nov. 26, and Notre Dame at Stanford on Nov. 27. The Oakland Raiders signed veteran cornerback/kick returner Darrien Gordon and released Desmond Howard, the 1991 Heisman Trophy winner. SWIMMING: Olympic champion Michelle Smith de Bruin ended her swimming career, insisting she did not use drugs and hoping she did not disgrace her country.
