BRIEFLY : A FORMER COACH SUES NOTRE DAM.Former Notre Dame assistant football coach Joe Moore sued new head coach Bob Davie and the university, alleging age discrimination and defamation. Moore, 65, claims that on Dec. 2 Davie told him he was ``too old to coach.'' The suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, said Davie later defamed Moore in a team meeting by referring to his age.Moore was hired as the Irish offensive line coach in 1988 by former head coach Lou Holtz.
