Pierce College offers associate's degrees, mainly in the arts and sciences. Administrators who oversee school finances and curriculum gave conflicting statistics to the Daily News and other media Tuesday and Wednesday.
Inocencio said Thursday the school ``typically'' offers 2,000 courses in the spring. He also said an administrator told him that the school started last spring with 2,097 classes but ended with some undetermined smaller number as students dropped out and classes were consolidated.

In-line skater, 17, injured by auto
GLENDALE - A 17-year-old in-line skater was critically injured after a car hit him as he was skating in traffic Thursday evening, police said.
The boy, who police did not immediately identify, was skating alongside southbound traffic on Pacific Avenue, said Sgt. Alan Frazier of the Glendale Police Department. A vehicle northbound on Pacific, turning westbound onto Glenwood Road, hit the skater at 6:10 p.m.
The skater was transported with head injuries to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center.
