BRIEFLY\Ex-convict found guilty in murder of Jordan's father.

An ex-convict was convicted in Lumberton, N.C., Thursday of murdering Michael Jordan's father during a holdup as he awoke from a nap along a dark highway in his $40,000 luxury car.

Daniel Green, 21, could get the death penalty in the 1993 shooting of James Jordan James Jordan can refer to any of the following individuals:
  • James Jordan (publicist) (1930-2004), advertising copywriter who created many famous slogans
  • James R. Jordan, Sr. (1936-1993), father of basketball star Michael Jordan
  • James R. Jordan, Jr.
, the 57-year-old father of the basketball great.

According to testimony, Green and his accomplice, Larry Martin Demery, 20, drove Jordan's red Lexus for four days after the slaying. He picked up dates and used the dead man's cellular phone to call friends and relatives.

Green also made a video of himself dancing and rapping while wearing Jordan's jewelry - a watch and two NBA NBA
