Woody Austin, a workaholic golfer who won Rookie of the Year Rookie of the Year may refer to:
  • Rookie of the Year (award), a sports award for the most outstanding rookie in a given season
  • Rookie of the Year (film), a 1993 starring Thomas Ian Nicholas
  • Rookie of the Year (album) by rapper Ya Boy
 honors last season, shot a 4-under-par 67 Thursday to take a one-stroke lead halfway through the Phoenix Open.

On a cool, windy day at the Tournament Players Club Tournament Players Club (TPC) is a chain of American public and private golf clubs operated by the PGA Tour. Most of the courses either are or had been hosts for PGA Tour events, and even those that have never hosted an event on the main tour have frequently hosted events on the  of Scottsdale, Austin finished with a two-round total of 10-under 132, a shot ahead of Jesper Parnevik, who had a 66.

"I don't get rusty because I don't take much time off," Austin said. "Even when I take a week off, I'm playing golf with my buddies."
