BRIEFLY; STATE BILL TARGETS REDEVELOPMENT.


State Sen. RIORDAN NAMED EMPLOYEE OF YEAR

BOY STRUCK BY CAR NEAR ELEMENTARY

Starting today, Howard Miller said, students, staff and others can call (800) 495-1191 to register concerns about the condition of a school restroom or to report vandals.

The Los Angeles Unified School District's maintenance and operations division will follow up on complaints and complete a written report within three days, Miller said.

Additional staff will ensure that students have access to functioning bathrooms.
