BRIEFLY; OFFICIALS SEEK HELP IN FINDING SUSPECT.


OAK VIEW - Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Ventura County Sheriff's Department (VCSD) provides law enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, USA, as well as several cities within the county. The cities that VCSD serves are Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks.  detectives are seeking the public's help in finding a man they believe is responsible for attempting to kidnap a female jogger earlier this month.

Authorities said the suspect is a white male, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall, medium build and clean shaven shave

The jogger fought off the man's Jan. 9 attempt to force her into his truck, authorities said. Another driver saw the struggle and stopped his car, causing the assailant to break off the attempt, authorities said.

OJAI ELECTRICAL FIRE DAMAGES RESIDENCE

OJAI - An early morning fire broke out Tuesday at a single-family home located in the 400 block of El Paseo El Paseo is downtown Palm Desert's main shopping street. The area around the street has evolved into an upscale shopping district featuring 150 exclusive boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.  Road, Ventura County Fire reported.
