Elton Gallegly, R-Simi Valley, was recognized as a friend of small business, earning a 100 percent rating from the National Federation of Independent Business The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is a lobbying organization with offices in Washington, D.C. USA, and in all 50 state capitals. NFIB claims a membership base in excess of 600,000. for key votes he cast last year, officials said. It was the second time in two years Gallegly garnered a 100 percent rating by the NFIB NFIB National Federation of Independent Business NFIB National Foreign Intelligence Board . The organization selected 11 votes in 1999 as key indicators and found that Gallegly, a former small businessman, voted in support of small business interests every time.
