BRIEFLY; 2 HELD FOLLOWING CAMERA ROBBERY.

BURBANK - Two men accused of stealing a news station's video camera, then trying to sell it to a video broadcast shop in Burbank are expected to be arraigned on robbery charges Monday.

Frank Vielma, 19, of Los Angeles and Enrique Rodriguez, 31, of Huntington Park were arrested Thursday after an employee at Studio Exchange thought they were acting suspiciously with the high-priced camera, said Lt. Joe Latta.

Before calling police, the employee asked for identification and the men couldn't provide any, Latta said. One of them left the store and came back with a friend's ID.

When officers arrived at the 800 block of North Victory Boulevard, they ran the serial number from the camera, which they valued at $8,000 to $10,000, Latta said. Turns out the camera was stolen Jan. 18 from an NBC cameraman shooting on location in Koreatown. The suspects pushed the cameraman to the ground and ran, he said.

Burbank police arrested Vielma and Rodriguez on suspicion of robbery.

They were being held Friday at Burbank City Jail on $35,000 bail each, Latta said. The men will be transferred to Los Angeles, as it is a Los Angeles Police Department case.
