Duck men will go

to Bahamas this summer

The Oregon men's basketball team will play five games on a tour of the Bahamas The Tour of the Bahamas is a road cycling race held in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. The race is a competition over three stages within two days. On the first day there is a time trial, a race against the clock, along with a circuit race, where one lap is more than a mile, is  this summer, Ducks coach Ernie Kent Ernie Kent (Born January 22, 1955 in Rockford, Illinois) is the current head men's basketball coach at the University of Oregon. He has been the Ducks' coach since he replaced Jerry Green after Green left for University of Tennessee after the 1996-97 season.  announced Tuesday.

Oregon will play the five games the week of Aug. 20-26 in Nassau against a series of Bahamian club teams.

Oregon's top seven scorers from last season's team will be on the tour.

Junior center Mitch Platt, who redshirted last season after two foot surgeries, will also be eligible, as will sophomore Churchill Odia, who sat out last season after transferring from Xavier.

Oregon's three incoming freshmen, Joevan Catron, LeKendric Longmire and Tajuan Porter Tajuan Marquis Porter (Born March 9, 1988) is a sophmore guard at Oregon. He is considered one of the top freshmen in the country. He is most notable for his exceptional game against Portland State. , will not be on the trip, and Jordan Kent Jordan Russell Kent (born July 24, 1984 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) is an American football wide receiver, drafted in 2007 by the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.  is expected to be in camp with the Oregon football team.
