PASADENA -- Tetra Tech Inc. said Wednesday that it signed a $15 million contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and  to provide technical support to the EPA's Pacific Southwest Region Water Division.

Tetra Tech will assist EPA Region 9 as it implements core water programs, including those associated with the Clean Water Act, Marine Protection and Sanctuaries Research Act and Safe Drinking Water Act The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) is a United States federal law passed by the U.S. Congress on December 16, 1974. Refco ex-execs plead not guilty

NEW YORK -- The former chief executive and chief financial officers of commodities brokerage giant Refco Inc. pleaded not guilty to charges that they defrauded investors, causing more than $1 billion in losses.

Prosecutors say Trosten and Bennett conspired to commit securities fraud, false filings and wire fraud as they tried to hide hundreds of millions of dollars of debt owed to Refco by a company controlled by Bennett.
