Coke employees walk out on strike

The workers, mostly production workers and delivery drivers, were in contract negotiations with Coca-Cola Enterprises Coca-Cola Enterprises NYSE: CCE is the largest bottler by volume in the Coca-Cola System. It is the anchor bottler for North America and parts of Europe.

The company is the bottler of Coca-Cola and its other soft drink products, and in some areas a few other soft drink
 Inc., the world's largest beverage bottler. The workers walked out over the company's proposal that they pay more for health benefits.

Union leaders say the workers have been arguing with management over health care costs since last fall. The bottling company A bottling company is a commercial enterprise whose output is the bottling of beverages for distribution.

Many bottling companies are franchisees of corporations such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo who distribute the beverage in a specific geographic region.

L.A. Hyatt to get work, new name

The Hyatt Regency Los Angeles has been reflagged as the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown and will undergo a $10 million renovation, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced Monday.

The 485-room hotel, which features 28,000 square feet of meeting space, is connected to the Macy's Plaza shopping mall.

T-bill rates higher in Monday auction

WASHINGTON - Interest rates on short-term Treasury bills rose in Monday's auction, with the three-month bill hitting the highest level since September 2001.

The Treasury Department auctioned $17 billion in three-month bills at a discount rate of 2.895 percent, up from 2.800 percent last week. An additional $15 billion in six-month bills was auctioned at a discount rate of 3.110 percent, up from 3.070 percent last week.
