Bombings, storm to hit gas prices

Privacy complaint targets probe firm

A privacy rights advocacy group has asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether Web sites advertising investigative services capable of digging up personal information such as phone call records are violating federal laws.

H&R Block to miss report deadline

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - H&R Block Inc. said Friday that it will miss the deadline to file its annual report with the Securities and Exchange Commission because it needs more time to finish restatements of earnings from 2003 and 2004.

The Kansas City-based tax preparer also plans to delay releasing its first quarter results until Sept. 1. It had previously planned to announce those results on Aug. 18.

The company's annual report was due July 14, but H&R Block said it will file a notification with the SEC to extend the deadline to July 29.

, N.J. - The Donald upped the ante Friday on his latest deal: trying to buy an Atlantic City property one of his companies already owns.

Earlier this year, when the publicly held company now known as Trump Entertainment Resorts Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. is a holding company which owns, operates and manages casinos/hotels in the United States The company was formed in 2005 as a result of the restructing of its predecessor Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts. Donald J.  Inc. was entering bankruptcy, some shareholders objected, saying the deal was good for Chairman Donald Trump and bad for them.

The land was appraised at $7.5 million and an auction is planned for September.
