BRIEFCASE RADIO, TV ACTORS RATIFY 3-YEAR PACT.

As expected, members of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Radio Artists overwhelmingly approved a three-year television and radio contract, the unions announced Tuesday.

Of the 34,415 members who voted, 94 percent were in favor of the agreement that was hammered out last month and will become effective Thursday.

The AFTRA and SAG agreement is with the Joint Policy Committee on Broadcast Union Relations of the Association of National Advertisers and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

Youbet.com Inc. wins with racing

WOODLAND HILLS - Youbet.com Inc. has announced gains for the third quarter - the sixth consecutive quarter in which the company has produced net revenue growth in its online horse race wagering business.

In the Tuesday announcement, Youbet also reported a substantial increase in operating capacity during the third quarter.

The gross handle increased by 57 percent to $72.5 million, compared with $46.3 million in the comparable period in 2002.

Homer and family ringing up Europe

CALABASAS - THQ Inc. and Vodafone announced an agreement Tuesday to distribute ``The Simpsons'' branded content via cell phone throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The content will include ring tones, animated picture messages, wallpapers and screen savers.
