BRIEFCASE INTERAERO ADMITS EXPORT VIOLATIONS.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE - A Westlake Village aircraft parts supplier pleaded guilty to a federal charge of exporting missile and military aircraft parts to China, authorities said today.

Interaero Inc. entered its plea in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., to one count of violating the federal Arms Export Control Act The Arms Export Control Act requires governments that receive weapons from the United States to use them for legitimate self-defense. It also places certain restrictions on American arms traders and manufacturers, prohibiting them from the sale of certain sensitive technologies to , according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is the largest investigative arm of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is responsible for identifying and dismantling vulnerabilities regarding the nation's border, economic, transportation and infrastructure .

The company admitted exporting six shipments between June 2000 and March 2001, including parts for F-4 Phantom fighters, F-5 Phantom/Tiger fighters and Hawk missiles, without the required State Department export licenses, according to the government.

Under the plea deal, Interaero has agreed to pay a fine of $50,000 and receive five years of corporate probation. The company's sentencing is set for Oct. 26.

Stockholders OK Countrywide plan

CALABASAS - Countrywide Financial Corp. announced Tuesday that its stockholders agreed to double in number the 500 million shares of common stock the company has the authority to issue.

As a result of the approved amendment, the two-for-one stock split to be effected as a stock dividend, which was approved by the board of directors and announced on June 25, will proceed as planned.

It will be payable on Aug. 30 to stockholders of record on Aug. 25.

Wilshire firm set to change name

CALABASAS - Wilshire Financial Services Group Inc. announced Tuesday that it changed its name to Beverly Hills Bancorp Inc.

The name change was recently approved by stockholders at the company's annual meeting.

The new name is more reflective of the company's current and expected future operations as primarily a bank holding company, officials said.

Beverly Hills Bancorp is the parent of First Bank of Beverly Hills, F.S.B., a federally chartered savings bank savings bank, financial institution that, until recently, performed only the following functions: receiving savings deposits of individuals, investing them, and providing a modest return to its depositors in the form of interest.  with assets of $1.2 billion.

Delta to offer new Burbank flights

BURBANK - Delta Air Lines said Tuesday that, starting Jan. 31, it will offer one daily nonstop flight to Burbank from Atlanta, and three daily nonstop flights from Salt Lake City.

The Salt Lake City-to-Burbank flights will be offered via Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines.
