BURBANK - Nurses, technologists and dietary workers at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is a hospital in Burbank, California, USA. More than 1,400 hospital employees, many who are members of the Service Employees International Union, will vote March 11 on ratifying the contract.

Other key provisions of the agreement include the creation of a joint worker-management committee that will discuss staffing levels, equipment, safety and other issues affecting patient care.

Airline to increase service to Hawaii

American Airlines will increase service this spring from Los Angeles to Lihue, Kauai.

Service from Los Angeles to Lihue will increase from the current single daily flight to one daily and four weekly flights April 4.

On June 10, an additional weekly flight will be added, bringing American to one daily and five weekly flights in that market. The additional service will be flown with Boeing 757 aircraft.

The airline also will begin seasonal nonstop service from San Francisco to the Hawaiian island of Maui on June 10 - its first-ever nonstop link between those two points.
