WOODLAND HILLS - Health Net of California said Thursday that the California Department of Health Services Department of Health Services may refer to:
  • Los Angeles County Department of Health Services
  • California Department of Health Services a California state agency
 has selected the managed-care company to provide Medi-Cal benefits in Fresno, Kern, Stanislaus and Tulare counties.

Health Net now provides Medi-Cal benefits to approximately 45,000 Medi-Cal members in Fresno and Tulare counties.

Pending approval from the Department of Health Services, each county contract spans five years, beginning in 2004.

Estimated revenue from the four contracts is up to $100 million annually.

SafeGuard signs up with CaliforniaKids

ALISO VIEJO - SafeGuard Health Enterprises Inc. has announced the signing of a contract with the CaliforniaKids Healthcare Foundation to provide dental services to 22,000 children throughout California, effective Nov. 1.

The terms of the contract were not disclosed.

CaliforniaKids Healthcare Foundation was founded in 1992 to provide uninsured children with access to basic healthcare services.
