Los Angeles International Airport (IATA: LAX, ICAO: KLAX, FAA LID: LAX
 to Maui on Monday after an eight-month hiatus.

The once-daily flights ceased after post-Sept. 11 cutbacks, but returned to serve consumer demand. The airline flies both legs of the trip using Boeing 767-300ERs, departing Los Angeles at 11:05 a.m. and arriving at 1:30 p.m. The return flight leaves Maui at 3 p.m. and arrives at 11:20 p.m.

Jakks picks up licensing award

Los Angeles-based Teledyne Technologies Inc. announced Monday that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering Teledyne Brown Engineering, or TBE, formerly Brown Engineering, is a Huntsville, AL–based subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY). Richardson quits City National jobs

In the wake of his victory in New Mexico's Democratic gubernatorial primary, Bill Richardson has resigned from the board of Los Angeles-based City National Corp. and City National Bank, the company announced Monday.

The former U.S. energy secretary, who was the Clinton administration's highest-ranking Latino, was elected to City National's boards July 25.

Before serving as U.S. energy secretary from 1998 to 2001, Richardson was U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Between 1983 and 1997, he was a congressman in New Mexico.
