 announced Tuesday it will add a second daily nonstop flight from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  to London's Heathrow Airport for the spring through fall travel season.

It is one of several schedule additions the airline is making in Los Angeles, including new nonstop service to Tokyo Narita Airport.

American's additional flight to London Heathrow will begin April 4 and operate through Oct. 30.

Jakks makes soft landing in quarter

MALIBU - The bankruptcy of two major clients led Jakks Pacific JAKKS Pacific, Inc. NASDAQ: JAKK is is a multi-brand company that designs and markets a broad range of toys and consumer products and is based in Malibu, California. Its product categories include action figures, art activity kits, stationery, writing instruments, performance  to a soft fourth quarter, the toy maker reported Tuesday. The company forecast sales of $330 million to $340 million and earnings per share of $1.20 to $1.30 for the full year. Shares closed at $13.88, down 69 cents, after the report.

BURBANK - The Baby Einstein Co., creator of developmental products for babies and toddlers, announced plans Tuesday to extend its product line into three new categories.

The Burbank-based company will introduce baby gear, party supplies and bibs and soft bath products with category leaders Graco, Hallmark and Hamco, respectively.

The announcement follows the launch of its juvenile products line in 2003 and comes on the heels of its toy line debut.

Farmers offering product discount

The Farmers Insurance Group of Cos. announced Tuesday the introduction of a Home/Life Discount for its California homeowners customers.

Customers who have both a life insurance policy and a homeowners insurance policy issued by Los Angeles-based Farmers can qualify for a 5 percent discount on their homeowners policy.

In addition to the Home/Life discount, Farmers will introduce a rate reduction on homeowners insurance in California, both effective last Monday.
