BRIAN MEEHAN''S 2000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes runner-up Delegator has been snapped up to join Godolphin.

The son of Dansili found only Sea The Stars too strong in May's Newmarket Newmarket, town (1991 pop. 15,861), Suffolk, E England. It has been a horse-racing center since early in the 17th cent. Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford said: "Delegator is top class and we are very excited to have acquired him.

"There are no plans at the moment but we will look forward to seeing him racing later in the season and next year as well."

Meehan said: "Delegator has been a marvellous horse for us and it has been a privilege to train him."
