  • Robert Adam, (1728-92)
comedian Rory Bremner Rory Bremner FKC (born 6 April 1961, Edinburgh, Scotland) is a British impressionist and comedian, noted for his political satire. Early life
Bremner first came into the limelight in 1985, when his single, N-N-Nineteen Not Out
has made a big impression by splashing out pounds 1.4million on a country mansion.

And the Edinburgh-born mimic will return to his roots when he moves into nine-bedroomed Crailing House, near Jedburgh, Roxburghshire.

But he is not expected to move his family from their Cotswolds home for at least a year while modernisation work takes place at the A-listed property.

The 48-year-old satirist has been involved in a number of projects in the Borders and his wife Tessa - with whom he has two daughters Ava and Lila - hails from the area and her family still live there.

Her father Patrick Campbell-Fraser said: "Both Rory and Tessa love the Borders and the family is delighted they will be moving here closer to us."

Crailing House has been described by the selling agents as "regency splendour in a parkland setting."

The house also has three reception rooms, four bathrooms and is set in 28 acres of land.
