BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS TO DISCUSS PERSONAL ORDEALS.

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, two women will share their stories of surviving the devastating dev·as·tate

On Wednesday, comedian Jane Hill will discuss the important physical and psychological roles of laughter in the healing process.

As a survivor of breast cancer, Hill will talk about how to find humor in daily life by sharing her experiences with the disease.

There will be a physician-moderated answer session following the address.

The program will be at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is a hospital in Burbank, California, USA. On Oct. 30, Christine Clifford, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of The Cancer Club and author of ``Not Now, I'm Having a No Hair Day,'' will discuss her story as a survivor.

Clifford will give the audience tips on how to combine hope, laughter and a positive attitude into business and personal life.

This event will take place at the Odyssey Restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills.

Both engagements will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and are sponsored by Providence Health System, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Service Area.

Cal State Northridge and the American Lung Association The American Lung Association (ALA) is a non-profit organization that "fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health".  invite the community to take part in the ``5K Breath Walk 'n Run Thru CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge .''

The Nov. 1 event will help raise money for the association.

The day includes a walk and run through the campus as well as the ``1997 Breath Games'' which are a chance for children with asthma to participate in track and field events, including obstacle runs, long jump, softball throw, shot put, modified discus and 50-, 100- and 200-meter dashes.

The games will feature appearances by Olympic gold Olympic Gold is the official video game of the XXV Olympic Summer Games, hosted by Barcelona, Spain in 1992. It was released for the Sega consoles, Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System, and Sega's handheld, Game Gear.  medalist Rafer Johnson and the Red Turbo Power Ranger.

Registration for the walk and run is at 7:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 9.

Participation in the walk and run is $20 if received by Monday and $25 thereafter. The games cost $5 per child if received by Monday and $10 thereafter.

All participants will receive a T-shirt and awards will be presented to winners.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill station will use the Halloween tradition to host an open house.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the station will welcome people to bring their children in for a visit to their ``haunted jail.''

There will be a costume contest, music and food.
