BRB takes centre stage for preview; Theatre.

DANCE fans will be given a preview of the new Birmingham Royal Ballet The Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) is one of the UK's foremost ballet companies, based at the Birmingham Hippodrome in Birmingham, where it enjoys custom-built facilities such as the Jerwood Centre for the Prevention and Treatment of Dance Injuries and the  season with an Evening of Music and Dance at Symphony Hall tonight.

Presented by Alan Titchmarsh, the evening is the one night of the year where the Royal Ballet Sinfonia The Royal Ballet Sinfonia is the Orchestra of Birmingham Royal Ballet.

The Sinfonia appears with Birmingham Royal Ballet in its home town, in London and around the UK, and frequently appears with The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House and on tour.
 takes centre stage, performing music by Berlioz, Lehar, Ravel, Elgar, Barber and Massenet.

Also on stage dancing pas de deux and pas de trois from ballet as diverse as Coppelia, The Sleeping Beauty, Pineapple Poll, Paquita and Diana and Acteon, will be BRB dancers including Nao Sakuma, Chi Cao, Ambra Vallo, Michael O'Hare, Jamie Bond and Jenna Roberts.

Conducted by BRB principal conductor Paul Murphy, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia has worked with many of the world's great dance companies including The Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, New York City Ballet New York City Ballet, one of the foremost American dance companies of the 20th cent. It was founded by Lincoln Kirstein and George Balanchine as the Ballet Society in 1946. , Australian Ballet, Les Grandes Ballets Canadiens and the Kirov.

Concert performances at the Royal Opera House, Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, Symphony Hall and other major British venues form a regular part of the Sinfonia's work.
