BRAWL AMONG PITCHESS INMATES LEAVES 1 WITH MINOR INJURIES.

One person suffered a minor injury during a fight involving eight inmates at the Peter J. Pitchess Detention Center A detention center or a detention centre is any location used for detention. Specifically, it can mean:

The disturbance began about 9 p.m. Sunday in one of the dormitories and involved English-speaking and non-English-speaking Latino inmates, said sheriff's spokeswoman Kimberly Unland.

No deputies were hurt but one inmate suffered a cut above his eye and was treated at the facility's clinic, Unland said.

The Pitchess Detention Center has been the scene of violent, racially charged brawls in which scores of inmates have fought with homemade home·made

In Sunday's fight, the inmates had no weapons, using only their hands and feet, Unland said.
