LANCASTER - A flying piece of history rumbled into Lancaster's Fox Field on Monday.

A World War II-era B-17G bomber bomber

The public may climb through the plane on the ground from 2 to 6 p.m. today and Wednesday.

Cost is $10 for a family, $6 for an adult, $5 for a student and free for World War II veterans and any child under age 8 accompanied by an adult. Flights also may be booked for at least six at a time.

Pre-booked flights are $359 for Experimental Aircraft Association members or $399 for nonmembers. Bookings made after the plane has arrived cost $385 for members and $425 for nonmembers.

The plane will leave at about noon Thursday from Fox Field, 4555 W. Ave. G, and will move to Van Nuys for flights and display Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
