CHANNEL 4 plan to give Russell Brand Russell Edward Brand[1] (born June 4, 1975) is an English radio and television personality, comedian, actor, and newspaper columnist. Brand dresses in a flamboyant bohemian fashion describing himself as looking like an "S&M Willy Wonka".  his own comedy series.

Broadcast magazine say six shows with Brand performing stand-up and showing archive TV clips are in the pipeline.

A Channel 4 insider said: "He will be able to be do topical stand-up about the news and not be tied to one subject."
