CARSON YEUNG'S new regime at Birmingham has already made its presence felt by trying to scale back Karren Brady's controversial pounds 1million leaving package.

Blues MD Brady, 40, is quitting St Andrews after 16 years in charge following Yeung's pounds 80million takeover, which was rubberstamped yesterday. But the decision by Brady (right) and the rest of the outgoing board to award her pounds 1m in bonuses plus an astonishing list of perks has caused uproar.

Last Saturday Mirror Sport revealed Brady's severance deal in the club's takeover recommendation document sent to BCFC shareholders.

She is due to receive 12 months' salary worth pounds 179,372, a bonus of pounds 520,000 from the sale of David Sullivan and the Gold brothers' shares and another bonus of pounds 260,000 for City being in the Premier League.

Brady also expects use of a club mobile phone, club health insurance and an executive box at St Andrews for 12 months after leaving .

Brady, off to work on Alan Sugar's TV show The Apprentice, has tried to protect her deal from being revoked by Yeung's Grandtop company.

But City's new Hong Kong owners and many fans are fuming at the prospect of Brady pocketing nearly pounds 1m in cash.

And Yeung has instructed his legal team to try and reduce Brady's settlement.
