Bradley, Thomas Bradley
 was recovering at a Hollywood hospital Friday night from a heart attack, a television station reported.

The 78-year-old Bradley, who served as mayor of the nation's second largest city for 20 years, was listed as stable at Kaiser Permanente Kaiser Permanente is an integrated managed care organization, based in Oakland, California, founded in 1945 by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser and physician Sidney R. Garfield.  Hospital, according to KABC-TV.

He was awake, alert and had an excellent prognosis for recovery, the station reported.

Hospital spokeswoman Roberta Tinajero would neither confirm nor deny the report late Friday.

Bradley reportedly suffered the heart attack at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, while at a McDonald's in Norwalk. He was taken initially to a local hospital, then transferred to the Hollywood hospital Thursday, the station said.

A sheriff's station in Norwalk noted on its Thursday morning log that Bradley was being treated at local Coast Plaza hospital for a possible heart attack, said Lt. Karyn Mannis.
