BPMI.org to Hold Member Meeting at Delphi Group's Collaborative Commerce Summit; San Diego Meeting to Focus on BPML Implementations.

The Business Process Management Initiative (BPMI.org) today announced the next member meeting will be hosted by the Delphi Group during their Collaborative Commerce Summit June 3-6 at the Del Coronado Resort in San Diego. The BPMI.org member meeting will take place on June 4-5, and will be highlighted by early applications of the Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) specification.

BPMI.org members will convene at the Delphi Summit to demonstrate early applications of BPML. BPML is a meta-language for the modeling of business processes, just as XML is a meta-language for the modeling of business data. Prior to BPML, companies were forced to model their processes using any number of proprietary languages, which proved costly and time consuming to implement and were often incapable of reflecting the process as it was intended. Using the standard language of BPML, applications of all types will allow firms to accurately and consistently model and execute even their most complex business process, providing a new level of agility and responsiveness for the enterprise.
