BPI Communications acquires 1858-founded J Whitaker & Sons Ltd.

) and publishes such notable titles as Billboard, Adweek, The Hollywood Reporter and Architecture. It recently acquired for an undisclosed sum J Whitaker & Sons Ltd., the U.K. company specializing in information, communications and e-commerce services to the book industry worldwide.

Whitaker will continue to operate its two major divisions, Whitaker Business Publishing and Whitaker Information Services See Information Systems. , through its existing management team led by group managing director Martin Whitaker, reporting to Howard Lander BPI's executive vice president and president of its Billboard Group.
