(BPG), the operating affiliate of Berwind Property Group, Ltd., announced t the acquisition of 2750 Morris Road, a 700,000 s/f office and manufacturing building located in Worcester Township, near Lansdale, Pennsylvania Lansdale is also the surname of American author Joe R. Lansdale, and of Vietnam era Major General Edward Lansdale. Lansdale is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia. . The property consists of 87-acres with extensive frontage along the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike The Pennsylvania Turnpike is a toll highway system operated by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission in the state of Pennsylvania, USA. The turnpike system encompasses 532 miles (855 km) in three distinct sections. (I-476), approximately three miles from the Lansdale Interchange. The seller was Visteon Systems, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol. LLC - Logical Link Control . The building is a state of the art electronics manufacturing facility, constructed in 1990 by Visteon, previously part of Ford Motor Company. As part of the transaction, Visteon entered into a lease for 100% of the facility. BPG acquired the property in part to accommodate the real estate requirements of related Berwind Group firms. BPG's portfolio consists of over 20 million square feet of property. |
