BP Selects Honeywell for Automation Project in Trinidad and Tobago; Experion PKS is Vital to Remote Offshore Platform Operation.Business Editors PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 2004 Honeywell (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :HON) Process Solutions announced today that it has received an order from BP in Trinidad and Tobago Trinidad and Tobago (trĭn`ĭdăd, təbā`gō), officially Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, republic (2005 est. pop. 1,088,000), 1,980 sq mi (5,129 sq km), West Indies. The capital is Port of Spain. (bpTT) for an extensive automation solution for bpTT's Cannonball Development Project, located offshore Trinidad. The leading-edge technology will provide bpTT with increased safety, remote access to their platform and a reduction in operational costs. The solution, worth just under one million dollars, includes Experion(TM) Process Knowledge System (PKS PKS Penalty Kicks Saved (soccer; goalie save) PKS Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (Indonesia) PKS Phi Kappa Sigma (international male fraternity) PKS Pallister-Killian Syndrome ), Fail Safe Control (FSC FSC See: Foreign Sales Corporation (R)), Digital Video Manager, Hart Interface, and a range of services including project management, installation and commissioning. The system will integrate with bpTT's existing offshore system. BPTT's local experience with Honeywell systems was a key factor in the decision to choose Experion, along with the low risk of error when integrating with existing systems. Honeywell's proven ability to interface with third party systems was also a deciding factor. This local experience includes similar installations on five offshore oil and gas production platforms and three land-based sites, which control oil terminal, gas processing and gas dispatch facilities.
