BP International's ShadeZone Division Announces Six Major Bookings Totaling $168,508 for a One Week Period.

DELAND, Fla. -- BP International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BPIL), manufacturing tennis court and athletic field equipment and fabric architecture shade structures and pavilions, announced the company's ShadeZone(R) fabric architecture division booked six jobs last week that totaled $168,508.

"We are just entering our busy time of year, and these bookings, from just one of our four divisions, and received during a six-day period, are a great way to begin the month," said Larry Ball, BP International CEO. "Bookings for all divisions, but especially the ShadeZone division, have been increasing steadily throughout the end of 2004 and the first part of this year. As word of mouth continues to spread about the great work we do, more and more municipal and park and recreation jobs are being sent our way. Another trend we are seeing is the increasing average size of our ShadeZone bookings.

"In 2003 and 2004, we were doing lots of work, but it was smaller jobs: covering individual playgrounds at elementary schools, and bleachers at parks, sports complexes, and tennis courts. Those years, not only was our ShadeZone division very new, but the entire concept of fabric structures for all these applications was very new. In the last eight months, the size of each job has been steadily increasing as we have been awarded bids in competitive situations for various new and expanded types of structures -- shade for large parking facilities and automotive dealerships, for instance. Additionally, now we are being awarded entire projects which include any number of structures, say, all the playground and bleacher covers, all the pavilions, and any number of stand alone shade structures at one facility. This reflects two trends: one is industry-wide and the other is a trend within BPI. Industry-wide, fabric structures have gained widespread acceptance in the last two years. The Florida hurricanes proved that fabric structures are a lot tougher than they look. Architects and designers love the genre for its flexibility and beauty. Put the two together, and you get what we are seeing: a heck of a lot of park, athletic, school, and municipal jobs that are accepting bids for fabric structures instead of the older, fixed roof type of building. We expect this trend to escalate sharply in the next two-five years.

"The trend for BPI is that we've proven ourselves within the industry, we've done a good job, we've stood behind our work, and people within the industry know who we are. Municipalities know our name, and that we do quality work. Word of mouth is sending a lot of business our way. Our advertising and public relations campaigns are developing a lot of brand name recognition for our company and for our products. We expect both trends, widespread use of fabric architecture and increasing size of our individual bookings, to continue at a fairly substantial upward pace."

The six bookings reflected in this announcement include the awarding of a highly competitive bid for Citrus County's Bicentennial Park which includes 24 bleacher structures and 3 pool deck structures. Broward Community College is installing shade structures and pavilions at its Tigertail Watersports Facility; the Nautical Lakes Social Club has ordered two large, unusual triangular shade structures for the Village at Royal Palm Beach; Wes Crile Park in the city of Deltona has ordered a 3500 s.f. post and sail structure for Splash Park; and several bleacher covers were ordered for a company that manufactures bleachers - a new but expanding market for the ShadeZone division.
